2010 Quickie

Alright, honestly these are potentially great horror movies from 2010. We've got your usual mix up of sequels [such as RE Afterlife], your remakes [Nightmare on Elm St], sequel movie remakes [Friday the 13th: PT2], an original fare [Daybreakers], the big old school slasher titles are back n business, and also your cheesy 80's remakes. Overall, horror might be in a flux, but has promise, and lurks for it's new big trend..

Some of the Title's don't seem familiar to you? That's alright, I'll give you a quick description of em :]

Case 39:
The movie came out Jan 1, starring Renee Zellwegar, Ian McShane, and Jodelle Ferland.
Zellwegar roles as a social worker that takes in a troubled 10 year old after her parents tried murdering her,
later coming to realize that the young girl isn't as innocent as she seems.. This movie was Directed by: Christian Alvart

Released Jan 8th, starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Defoe, and Sam Neill,
the year 2017 plague havocs the world, and the population becomes of the Vampire race.
Blood supply low, vampires farm the remaining humans and look for a new way to continue their existance..
Meanwhile a secret team of vampires [including Ethan Hawke] uncovers a way to save the human race.

Jan 22nd, Stars Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, and Tyrese Gibson..
Lets put it this way.. It sounds like the Christian version of The Terminator..

Psych 9:
I dont believe this movie has been released in US quite yet..
It stars Sara Foster, Cary Elwes, Michael Biehn, And Gabriel Mann..
An unstable woman works alone in a recently closed hospital, while the 'NightHawk' Serial killer
embarks on a killing spree within the surrounding area.. Cary Elwes roles as a sympathic doctor
as Michael Biehn plays as the Investigator.

The Wolfman:
Released around Feb, staring Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Art Malik, and Hugo Weaving..
Its one of your basic werewolf tales, with a strong cast and excellent screenwriter..

The Crazies:
Feb 26th released the movie starring Tim Olyphant & Radha Mitchell, which was a remake of George Romero's
thriller from 1973.. A plane crash spills a Biological weapon [Biohazardous Waste] into the water supply of a small
Kansas town, causing the inhabitants to turn murderously insane.
Starring Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson and Justin Long
A woman wakes to find she's being prepared for burial, she must fight to avoid being buried alive.. Or is she really
dead after all? Neeson Roles as the Sinister funeral Director~

Survival of the Dead:
just another one of them Zombie movies =w=
Mmm But aren't they great?

I haven't seen Splice, Predator, or Piranha 3D yet, and will probably watch them soon. If anyone else would like to post a small description go for it :]

While I personally loved Splice, horror fans may be disappointed for it really isn't a horror flick, despite the appearance the trailer gives.

I'll try to get one up in the next couple of days. Is this community for recent releases as far as discussions go, or can we discuss past horror films as well?

Its for ALL horror flicks, the new and the old. I've just been really busy so I haven't posted anything on old horror movies. I was planning on posting the movies that started off the horror genre, but with classes and also learning to drive I haven't been able to find any info
